My name is David ‘Zacarte’ Schlatter, ‘Zacarte’ being my Stage name for 25 years as a professional comedian and freelance writer. However, prior to becoming a successful comedian and writer I served the better part of (15) years as Partner and CEO of a California Investment & Holding company. Per my parents and grandfathers long term advice, "there's more to life than money" I took their advice and walked out of the Partnership and job as CEO to live a dream life as a comedian and writer.
I have spent my retirement years building a successful Digital Media and Publishing company in Arizona devoting a great deal of this income into becoming an active voice for 'Reason.' This has been accomplished through the 'DailyQuack.com a site with multiple writers from various views points a resource library for you to verify facts or lies and over 300 newspapers and online media to help you, make Reason out of today's current affairs most important to American's.
This site is my personal Blog and I love sharing the experiences, memories and beliefs I have been blessed with over these some 40 + years of extensive travel and involvement into local and national affairs. I have been a political activist since my youth, following in the footsteps of my parents. Mother the vocal activist, Dad the quiet listener and the one whose advice was often asked for. That makes me a great listener with an occasional big mouth.
My life has been nothing short of blessed; I still travel each year listening to and interviewing individuals from across America. Now retired from my comedic life and freelance writing. I'm focused on my personal writing along with managing the world's largest, small Media and Publishing company from top of the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona enjoying life with my wife, five children and (5) grandchildren.
